Dr. Laura Lamas Abraira

Laura Lamas Abraira is a graduate in Fine Arts and in Social and Cultural Anthropology and she holds a master’s degree in Ethnographic Research, Anthropological Theory and Intercultural Relations and an international PhD in Translation and Intercultural Studies.
Her research interests include migration and interculturalism. Her PhD thesis on the care circulation in Chinese transnational families was carried out through a multi-sited ethnography between China and Spain (2014-2019) with the support of the Confucius China Studies Program and the Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation. More recently, she has worked as a researcher on a public funded project on migration and religious practices in Catalonia region.
She joined the FestSpace-Barcelona team as a researcher and project coordinator in June 2020.
